Music lessons at Linwood North School are exciting times - we are learning more things each week, and the students are excited to learn new terminology (such as the Italian words for dynamics), use the classroom instruments, and learn music theory.
Here are some pictures from some of our classes throughout the school. A typical music session includes learning music theory, playing instruments, and singing. We work as a whole class, and in small groups to learn and practice what we have learnt.

We've had an amazing last couple of weeks in the Sound Arts - The Recorder groups are up and running, The Ukulele groups are auditioning this Tuesday, and the Senior Choir has been decided after auditions took place.
Ukulele lessons are on a Tuesday afternoon, Recorder Lessons are on Wednesdays, and Choir is on Monday afternoon.
Regular music lessons have been taking place across the school. We have been learning to identify dynamics in music, such as high and low sounds. We have been learning the Italian words for soft, loud, fast, slow, short and sharp sounds, and smoothly flowing music. We continue to learn to sing our theme song for the year "Shine bright like a diamond".
